Lee’s patriotic iconic hit, “God Bless The U.S.A,” has been hailed as one of the most recognizable patriotic songs in America, and has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times (1991, 2001, 2003), giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to achieve that feat. It was also No. 1 on the pop charts after 9/11/01.

Lee won a GRAMMY Award in 1983 for “Best Country Vocal Performance, Male,”on “I.O.U.” A country music ICON, he has released more than 30 albums and charted seven No. 1 songs including “Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands,” “She’s Lyin,” Dixie Road,” “I.O.U.” and more. Moreover, his 1992 album, American Patriot, went Platinum in just three months.

Greenwood has won numerous awards including Male Vocalist of The Year at the ACM Awards/CMA Awards, as well as the coveted CMA Song Of The Year in 1985 for “God Bless The U.S.A.”
