The Selecter is led by their iconic frontwoman Pauline Black and co-fronted by original member Arthur “Gaps” Hendrickson. The band most recently toured the US last Summer with Rancid and Dropkick Murphys, and Pauline Black toured in Latin America as a special guest with Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz. In October 2017 The Selecter released their newest full-length studio LP Daylight – their most urgent, politically engaged and purely uplifting record since the days of Too Much Pressure and Celebrate The Bullet – and this summer the band released Live from the Roadhouse – a live album recorded during The Selecter’s highly successful 2017 world tour. Not only a crucial figure in the music community, Black is also a published author, gifted actress, and a celebrated style icon. Earlier this year VOGUE noted Black as an inspiration for Duro Olowu’s new fall collection and followed in June with a feature on Black, discussing her “Rude Girl” style, who has influenced her, how her style has evolved and her connection to cutting edge designers Art Comes First.
